The premise
A masked driver known only as Ghost 55598 turns an illegal legend into a sanctioned experiment — and discovers that the car he built to prove he is human has started to think like him.

All speed sequences are fictional and take place on a closed circuit, under permit, with a medical team, engineers and competent authorities present. Nothing on this site is an invitation to reproduce any driving behaviour on public roads.

The car is the shell. The driver is the ghost. The Spectre is what is left between them.
SHELL//555 is not an autopilot. It does not take the wheel, it does not correct a line, it does not intervene. It is an observation and behavioural-analysis architecture built for a single purpose: to record what a human being does at the limit, precisely enough that the recording could be replayed.
OBSERVEThe shell

The ghost
The driver. Perception, fear, judgement, the thing that decides before it knows it has decided.
The spectre
The trace left between the two. Not a copy of the driver. The shape of the space he moved through.

He is autistic. The film says so plainly, in one line, early, and then does not use it as an explanation for anything. What it shows instead is a person who prepares more than anyone thinks is reasonable, who needs the world to hold still in order to move through it very fast, and who has organised an entire experiment around the one thing he can control.
